Notre Dame football: Irish springing forward in recruiting
Posted by: | Comments
Mr. irish fan said:
“USC is ahead of ND in recruits at this point even though both have 1.of course in your eyes,ND’S recruit could not obtain a look from USC so he is a wash..”
While both schools have 1 2011 recruit at present, the counting of who has how many at this time is really ridiculous, given that we are 11 months away from the next signing day. Yet, if one does decide to count, they should get their facts right, something that irish fan continually fails to do.
Then, later after his errors are exposed, he alibis about his post being interpreted incorrectly. Perhaps he should begin to realize that ALL of his posts have to be interpreted, because they are virtually unreadable, lacking logical construction, correct syntax, appropriate lexicon, etc.
Further, when he addresses USC or me, he throws in slurs, insults, nasty nicknames, etc. compounding his verbal mess.
Finally, to address the one point he seemed to find whiningly important, USC did not make DE tackle Carrico an offer, but that does not mean we would not like to have him on board as a Trojan. I don’t know why we didn’t offer him, as he looks to be a potential talent find, AS I POSTED.
This often happens in recruiting when the recruit shows no interest in your school, which possibly DE Carrico did not show towards USC. We have a whole stale of DE’s in house and committed, so our immediate needs are elsewhere.
And, virtually all DE Carrico’s offers or interests were in the Midwest, where he may well feel more comfortable near home. That’s fine, and we don’t want or need anyone who does not very much want to play for us, as all of our recruits do.
Finally, DE Carrico is from Ohio, and presumably has had contact with Coach Kelly when he was at Cincinnati. Nuff said.

Tiger should just tell it like it is
Posted by: | Comments
Nearly three months after a minor car accident outside his home became a springboard to an international sex scandal and rumored visits to sex rehab, Tiger Woods is finally going to talk.
Allow me to preface: if the law isn’t involved — bestiality in its strictest sense isn’t a charge against him; although some of the women … nah, that’s too mean — Woods could ignore the general public for the rest of his life and I wouldn’t have a problem with it.
Anyway, Tiger should have learned by now that the lack of apology (Clemens, Bonds, etc.) only roils the masses more. No, the best solution is a massive reveal. Don’t treat this as if it were Johnny Weir’s sexuality — everyone knows the truth, why try to hide it?
Here’s how tomorrow’s confession might play out:
Tiger will say: “I made bad decisions.”
Tiger should say: “These weren’t youthful indiscretions. I bleeped up. Royally. if my dad were alive, I would have caught a beating. my mom is crushed.”
Don’t hide behind the “sex rehab” shield. You’re the most famous athlete in the world. of course you were sleeping with everything that moved. (Although, your inability to just enjoy some hash browns and avoid the Perkins waitress is pretty embarrassing).
Tiger will say: “I’m working on repairing my marriage.”
Tiger should say: “I’ll understand if my wife never takes me back. I was a dirtbag and an idiot. I ruined our lives and scarred our children’s future before they even had a chance to have one. How many women did I cheat with? I don’t know. probably around the same number David Duval shoots nowadays.”
Remember the rape allegations against Kobe Bryant in 2004? that week, Kobe sat at a podium, confessed to everything (with his wife sitting right next to him) and then went into hiding.
Tiger might have to shovel millions into his wife’s bank account, but he needs Elin at his side tomorrow at 11 a.m. and he can end his news conference with this quote: “I’m done until the Masters. but rest assured, I will tear up Augusta like an over-the-hill porn star.”
