ROBBIE WILLIAMS fought back tears as he made a triumphant return to the Brits last night – picking up an Outstanding Contribution to Music gong.

The singer, who has won more Brits than any other artist, ended the show with a medley of hits including an encore of Everything Changes by his old band TAKE THAT.

He told the crowd: “You won’t remember this, but I used to be in a boy band.”

The audience screamed as he launched into anthem Angel.

Robbie, 36, said: “It feels really good up here, Brits. thank you so much.”
