Olympics? what Olympics? I have not watched any of the Olympics other than the opening night ceremony and I only watched that because it was a rainy stormy night and I was stuck in the house. There I said it.

I just don’t like the Olympics. not sure why.

When I was a kid, I watched both summer and winter Olympics and I knew all the players by heart, I would try to catch all of it. back then of course there were only a few tv channels and they didn’t show it 24/7, so we caught maybe three or four hours a night, and that was a lot.

But I would have my favorites athletes and know their life story and their families, their coaches and just got so into it and when it was all over, I missed it all. Now I never know when it really ends. It’s just not on the tv and I say to myself, “Oh, the Olympics must be over.”

The opening ceremony that will always stick in my head was the 8-8-08 Olympics, because that is the night I was watching, half asleep from drinking wine and I missed out on that
